The introduction of the Apple I-phone4 and its impressive specifications are the talk of all technology and mobile phone enthusiasts worldwide.

The appearance of the I-phone 4 in such proximity to the emergence of the I-pad has also sparked much debate. Many believe the positive attributes of the handheld device far outshine those of the more expensive I-pad. According to CNET.com, features such as the front-facing VGA camera, a new LED flash with a main camera lens, makes an impressive addition to the camera phone world.  Also, the larger battery has many hoping for more power and longer energy life.

The device uses Apple’s new IOs4 operating system, and a unique wrap-around antennae in conjunction with a wide variety of new features and applications. The design also has I-phone enthusiasts raving over the flattened back, an improvement to the curved one on older models that rocks on flat surfaces.

For many consumers, it is hard to decide whether the upgraded machineryof the phone is simply an ode-to the tecchie, or whether it actually has practical everyday use. Many are concerned with the use of glass over plastic. Steve Jobs claims this will reduce scratching, but durability is now a concern.

According to MSN.com, investigations have been made into complaints of dropped calls on the new I-Phone. Originally attributed to the wrap-around antennae, Apple now claims to have uncovered an error with the formula that the device uses to determine signal strength. Rather than have a recall it has been determined that this flaw is being repaired by service providers such as At&T in the US rather than by Apple itself.

While the electronic upgrade is appreciated for its technology, many wonder whether the new device will live up to the hype. So know the facts before you trade in your current device.
