In person events are back, and, sadly, more expensive than ever. Inflation took COVID 19’s job of keeping you inside. Not to worry, however we’ve got you!. This week we are alerting you to a few events that promise a great time for the best price - none.

Pensoul
Ragamuffin Cafe offers a unique open mic experience every last Wednesday. It's open to all acoustic performances, poetry readings, stand up sets, or anything you want to share. It’s in an intimate setting with great energy. Hostess Rica G. says there is no cover charge, but she encourages you to bless the love jar with anything from a love note to a bank note. Refreshments are on sale but water is free. Try to get there early to get your name on the list! And enjoy!

The Jam @ 22Jerk
The Jam at 22 Jerk is the best joint for good vibes and great music. The stage is open to vocalists and instrumentalists. Go get some experience and exposure, and, who knows, it may be your big start in showbiz.  Admission is free, cash bar for food & drinks and an evening you’re sure to enjoy!

Recovery Karaoke & Games Night
Unwind and catch a vibe at Di Lot every Tuesday. There are karaoke and games, and it's hosted by social media personality Singhzima. Chill, sing, and play from 7:00 pm to midnight! No cover charge!

XO Fridays
Get ready to step away from the ordinary at your favorite weekly series, XO Fridays! This party is free before 11, and $1,500 after. So, come out early and make the most of the night.

Exhibitions at The Sky Gallery
Being a major hub for the arts in Kingston,
Once it housed a great Japanese restaurant (Sora) but now that space on Phoenix Avenue is home of the Sky Gallery.  This new art space frequently hosts exhibitions that are fortunately free. The current show is titled IDENTITY and is a tribute to our 60th Independence celebration of who we are as a collective. It runs till September 17, so visit their website and RSVP ASAP.

Fame Frequency
What started as a creative way to keep the party going in Covid-19’s dark days is now almost embedded in the culture.  Some say it has evolved to match our new normal. The fame frequency virtual party series is a useful way for you to have fun without leaving your house. That's right, no gas money either! If you decide to splurge though you can RSVP for your crew to party on TV.
