Fitness and wellness has been the theme for a healthy lifestyle in recent years. To keep up with this fitness routine many people talk regular walks or jogs. Sometimes it’s close to where they live. Other times it’s at popular jogging spots. Here are four popular jogging spots in Kingston:
1.
Emancipation Park
Emancipation Park is one of the most used jogging spots in Kingston. It is centrally located in New Kingston and has a track specifically for joggers. The track also indicates the distance jogged / walked. Whether its morning or evening time, there are always at least a few joggers in the park.
2.
Heroes Circle
The National Heroes Park holds a special place in the hearts of Jamaicans. It is about 20 hectares and its circular outline provides a nice space to jog, or even bike. If you can stand the heat during daytime, walking around Heroes Circle would definitely give you a good workout.
3.
Mountain Spring
A steady walk up the hill and back will give you a challenging workout. Some people walk, some run. Some leave the speed running to the very top of the mountain for a quick thrill. Either way, at the end of it you’ll be glad you did.
4.
Mona Dam
The marl surface is good for walking or jogging around the Mona Dam. And there is great scenery, too. So if you’re up for a good walk with a nice view you should give it a try sometime.
