Panmedia is partnering with BrokenCurve, a United States-based Start-up that will offer global media solutions using Internet Television and other web concepts. BC is headed by Jamaican Iziah Reid and Neil Nelson, both engineering graduates of Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia.
BrokenCurve will offer Caribbean content both on its own website and on others with a West Indian audience through its customized Flash movie player. BC is opening its platform for other web publishers who will share in revenue from advertising.
Panmedia’s role is to bring advertising to BC’s platform and to source content in Jamaica, the Caribbean and the Diaspora.
At the moment, much of the content on its BC’s is streamed mostly Jamaican videos, but Nelson just returned from the Eastern Caribbean where he negotiated with several content providers.
