This week Panmedia mounted a two day exhibition for the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica at the Manchester Public Library in Mandeville that runs March 22 & 23. Titled “Use Less. Pay Less.”, the exhibition features energy saving technologies, educational and multi media displays, conservation presentations, giveaways and lectures. The displays include actual models of Energy Efficiency Technologies for domestic and commercial use.
The exhibition is in the Cecil Charlton Hall, next to the main library building. Inside the library foyer, Panmedia also mounted a small exhibit of the winning entries of a PCJ national poster competition that we organised.
The “Use Less. Pay Less.” Exhibition was first presented last October by the Energy Efficiency Unit at PCJ’s auditorium in New Kingston. Prime Minister P.J. Patterson visited the exhibition and recommended that it should be mounted at other venues. After Mandeville, the exhibit will be travel to Montego Bay and Savanna la Mar.
The exhibition is part of a PCJ public awareness campaign on energy conservation and efficiency that targets consumers, businesses, manufacturing, the public sector and young people.
