Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., perhaps the most famous icon of the African-American civil rights movement, is honored annually around the world on the third Monday of January. Dr. King was born in Atlanta, Georgia January 15, 1929.
To celebrate his life and achievements, the Information Resource Center of the U.S. Embassy has distributed a “Webliography†related to Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement.
Panmedia is posting this “Webliography†because of the impact Dr. King had on Caribbean people of African descent.
A Public Perspective
The Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica has launched Energy Matters, a Vox Pop radio series produced by Panmedia. Energy Matters is recorded and packaged man-in-the-street interviews on energy issues, conservation and the relevance of energy efficiency in the lives of ordinary Jamaicans. Each week, the ten-minute programs by actress and announcer Denise Hunt will feature a different location. The first installment was on carpooling.
Business Events JA is the new name for CrossRoads, a Panmedia sponsored portal that lists all business events in Jamaica open to the public. It also lists membership meetings for all the trade organizations, and offers a directory of related resources. The major trade organizations post their information directly to the site.
