A Public Perspective

The Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica has launched Energy Matters, a Vox Pop radio series produced by Panmedia. Energy Matters is recorded and packaged man-in-the-street interviews on energy issues, conservation and the relevance of energy efficiency in the lives of ordinary Jamaicans. Each week, the ten-minute programs by actress and announcer Denise Hunt will feature a different location. The first installment was on carpooling.

The same interview format will be taken into high schools/colleges across the island. PCJ will seek opinions from students about conservation issues, on how they practice conservation at home, at school and their ideas to improve Jamaica’s energy situation.  Industry leaders will also be interviewed in a third component in these public perspectives.

The series will run for eight weeks on Power 106.
