A dance for a decade has come to an end. In 2006, a Panmedia proposal for website design went unheeded. Intermittent checks since only brought promises. But ten years later, we finally developed a new website for the Advanced Integrated Systems (AIS), an IT solutions company.

The website showcases AIS’s solutions for finance, health, hospitality and print and its wide range of electronic office products. A focal point is AIS’s partnership with Quisk, which operates similar to a debit account without the cash requirement, a plastic card or even a mobile phone to make a purchase. As part of its push to build a business-friendly ecosystem, the Development Bank of Jamaica launched the Voucher for Technical Assistance (VTA) Programme in May 2014. Its aim is mainly to make it easier for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises to access loans.

The pilot of the project performed well. But DBJ recognised areas where it could be improved. One such area was the system’s accessibility. The DBJ wanted entrepreneurs to be able to apply for the vouchers online, so it asked Panmedia to upgrade the functionality and create a new web design.

Throwback Thursdays is a weekly social media trend where many users share posts of their fondest memories using the label #throwbackthursday or #tbt. It’s now as ubiquitous as tagging, and first appeared on Saxton Moore’s blog in 2006 when he titled his re-illustrated retro animations as “Throwback Thursdays.” Later that year, Matt Halfhill showed a similar weekly concept to market vintage sneakers on his blog on Thursdays.

Some of you may remember those days when high school kids spent half their lunchtime foraging for Popsicle sticks and the other half huddled around a table launching coins though makeshift finger goals.

We remember these really fun times we had as children. Then the smartphone showed up. Poof, such fun disappeared from our lives.

Not to worry though, Panmedia will help revive this blast from the past.

Money Football (in beta) is our attempt to rejuvenate the joy of this once beloved school pastime. It is the same game many know and love, without the embarrassment of rummaging near rubbish pans for raw materials.

Last week both #DeadBabiesScandal and #FireFenton have emerged as hashtags to vent online outrage at the deaths of 19 premature babies at the UHWI and Cornwall Regional Hospital.

The Gleaner covered the story heavily on Instagram, popular social media personality Bella Blair responded with a video, and twitter was full of discussion. The overall sentiment is that someone needs to be held accountable.
