Since 2011, Scotiabank has been helping small and medium-sized businesses in Jamaica to grow. They offer business coaching to select clients, and in 2015 opened up that opportunity and provided more resources by creating the Scotiabank Vision Achiever. Now, the 2017 programme is looking for a new batch of applicants.
Scotiabank selects up to 25 applicants for Vision Achiever who enrol in a 17-week multi-module programme that teaches core business skills and coaching. Maria Woon-Choy, #1 Business Coach in the Caribbean, guides the programme. The top 3 performers of each year’s applicants get a chance to win prizes that will benefit their business. Last year, Scotiabank gave them a $500,000 business grant from the Development Bank of Jamaica, business solutions valued at $360,000 from Digicel business, a $360,000 brand campaign from eMedia, $360,000 in social media maintenance from Panmedia and digital marketing solutions of $150,000 from Jamaica Yellow Pages.
The 2016 companies in the programme were from diverse trades and came from parishes in all three of Jamaica’s counties. Scotiabank reports that past participants reported impressive results and growth, including 50% increase in business. If you want to join the 2017 Scotiabank Vision Achiever programme, please apply today at http://www.scotiavisionachiever.com/. Application deadline is February 26th.
