1. LIME and Digicel Battle on Facebook

Digcel and LIME are fighting for fan count in social media. For Facebook, Digicel rules with a whopping 654,427 likes, while LIME trails with 312,260. But LIME hasn’t given up. The Jamaica Observer says LIME's Facebook page grew 35.6 percent for the year, 29.4 per cent more than Digicel. "Most Jamaicans using social media are already a part of our online family," Shelly-Ann Harris, senior communications manager at Digicel told the Jamaica Observer. "It is expected that other brands could grow faster periodically, given that the potential market for them is larger and since they're pretty much trying to catch up."
