Prime Minister P.J. Patterson this week visited a Panmedia designed exhibition on energy conservation titled Use Less. Pay Less. at the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica.
Designed museum style, the exhibition is a colourful display of key issues in energy conservation and efficiency. Starting with a panel on Why Should We Conserve. the exhibition is scripted to engage visitors in the energy conservation story.
Also on display are ads from the public education campaign that Panmedia designed for the Energy Unit of PCJ. The campaign aims to create a cultural shift to bring a wider understanding and adoption of an energy efficient lifestyle in Jamaica. The campaign is targeting residential consumers, commercial and small businesses, industrial and public sectors.
The exhibition featured several displays of various energy conservation and efficiency units. The Prime Minister tested an interactive device showing the difference in meter readings for florescent and standard bulbs. He was also introduced to Panmedia’s Managing Director Knolly Moses by head of the Energy Unit Dr. Cezley Sampson.
