Panmedia will repurpose the Jamaica Trade and Invest website to make it a more dynamic tool to communicate and facilitate online access to the agency’s services.
The repurposing follows a move to re-brand the agency, which is changing its name from Jamaica Trade and Invest back to its old name Jamaica Promotions Corporation, better known as JAMPRO.
The new portal will offer more end-user interactivity, including a personalized account management service that enables investors and traders to perform actions on investment and trade packages and keep track of their progress. It will also be a showcase to promote what Jamaica offers buyers and as a resource for entrepreneurs who want to export.
Panmedia will integrate several JTI web properties into a seamless and cohesive investment and trade portal to promote Brand Jamaica, and to reinvigorate the current content.
The portal will also offer much of its content in Spanish and French to attract a larger set of visitors, and will be used to integrate Brand Jamaica with social media tools and services.
The new portal will be powered by the very flexible Drupal web framework and content management system. Some of the secondary sites will also be migrated to the platform to give them a quick boost in their feature set and to increase their interoperability with the new portal.
