Panmedia has launched another Facebook game for Digicel to coincide with its unveiling of its brand new 4G Internet service. Titled 4G Rocket, it is Panmedia's third exciting Flash game designed for the telcom that is market leader in mobile service.

The 4G Rocket includes an online sign up feature so players can use the game's start- screen to apply for Digicel's 4G service! This allows Digicel to get immediate sales from an interactive marketing feature. Nearly 200 people have already used the game platform to sign up for Internet service!

Panmedia's design team and programmers created a concept to illustrate the speed and portability of 4G, a technology that provides transportable high speed Internet via a device not much larger than a USB memory drive.

The game features a rocket whose movement and speed is controlled by keyboard commands. The rocket must be angled and launched, then steered through the atmosphere where it absorbs the power of 4G comets that build its speed, while avoiding the 3G asteroids that cut its power. The object is for the rocket to collect as many 4G comets as possible to fuel its flight over hazardous waters and safely land on the final platform.

Project leader Paul Allen says "This represents a major improvements in our game technologies. We were able to get it from concept to completion in a week, about a third of the time for previous games."

4G Rocket follows Digicel's Blackberry Bonanza and Digicel's Juss Buss, the two Panmedia-designed games previously launched by the company on Facebook.

Games operated from social media platforms are becoming the marketing tool of choice for many products and services and interactive gaming are extremely popular with Jamaica's Facebook fans.
