The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Blue and John Crow Mountain inscribed for its natural and cultural heritage has a new getaway spot hidden inside the National Park! Away from the city noise at the end of a relaxing mountain drive, the Blues Brews Bistro is under the Holywell Discovery Centre.  With both outside and covered seating the Bistro greets you with the smell of roasting coffee, always welcomed and at home in the Blue Mountains.

Open only weekends, this lovely spot is great for relaxation and to enjoy a filling brunch or a simple bagel or just a dessert. There’s plenty of seating looking out at the Park. Often, the fog rolls in on the view of the city below. This quaint, family-owned and run Bistro is a coveted oasis.

With delicious food pairings from all-day breakfast items including crunchy bacon, fluffy pancakes, and fresh bagels, to gourmet burgers and a unique selection of amazing beverages and delicious sweets, their full menu is a great option if you didn’t pack a picnic basket!

One of the best items to have in the chilled air, rolling fog, and amid rustling leaves is the Chai Latte (with coconut milk!) it’s the perfect blend. But if you really want a complete Jamaica Blue Mountains experience then, of course, ordering a fresh, hot coffee is the way to go.  As an added bonus all materials are eco-friendly and there are recycling containers around the Bistro to ensure the Park’s environment stays green!

Whichever hot beverage you pick in this wet season, make sure you take an extra sweater to remain cozy when enjoying their delightful goodies, the warm, friendly service, and the natural beauty of the Holywell Park as you take a sip!
