The Panmedia Salute

Often, something happens in Jamaica that catches our attention. Usually it’s an event we note with pride or an action we acknowledge for innovation or daring. We talk about such things sometimes at our morning meetings or over lunch. Then they are quickly forgotten as we focus on work or get distracted with other issues.

Recently, we considered a way to record or honour such moments, individuals  or companies. Just a chance to say “brilliant.” We want to pay such tributes online, where our engagement with the world begins.

So today we are pleased to launch the PANMEDIA SALUTE. It is our small way of recognizing events, individuals and institutions that deserve it.

Our first PANMEDIA SALUTE goes to the Jamaican Association of Minority Shareholders. JAMS stated mission is to protect and advance the interests of minority shareholders of publicly listed companies. We warmly welcome JAMS and hope its presence alone will serve the interest of all Jamaicans. [ more ]
